EBMC Trainer earns Master's in Education

Reno, NV, January 13, 2012:  Instructional Designer/Trainer, Sherry Brown of the Reno Office has just been conferred a Master’s in Education – Instructional Technology degree with a 4.0 GPA from American InterContinental University (AIU). 

Ms. Brown has been with EBMC since May, 2004 and has been the primary trainer for the Apartment/Single Family Division, including conventional and affordable properties. Her goal with this degree was to become more proficient in curriculum design and development for the new EBMC University. “The focus of the EBMC University program is to develop high quality learning products for our staff, in order to maintain our leadership role in the property management industry,” Ms. Brown explained.

Currently, Sherry has been accepted by the Fischler School of Education at Nova Southeastern University for a Doctorate of Education in Instructional Technology and Distance Learning. “This new step in my education will allow me to become a stronger researcher in the fields of adult and distance learning, as well as produce even better knowledge environments not only for our employees, client firms, but even more importantly our clients! By creating webinars, self-paced learning modules, job aids, instructional media and materials based upon the latest educational theories and research; we have the opportunity to provide superior training, which in turn makes EBMC even more competitive in our market.” Ms. Brown will be starting her educational doctoral program in May, 2012.
