On October 8, 2011, Carson Catalina Apartments volunteered at the Homeless Connect for Pets of the Homeless. The onsite Manager, Pepper Kemp and residents happily volunteered for the event. Carson Catalina Apar
tments donated pet food, blankets, leashes, toys, harnesses, and other goodies for cats and dogs of the homeless. This was the second year of the event and more than two hundred people showed up to get their pets groomed and vaccinated. It was a lot of hard work but also very rewarding.
After the event, Pepper and the rest of the group came back to the property to bring more joy to the residents by helping them build their own scarecrows. Parents as well as children had a wonderful time and were thrilled to know they could take their scarecrows back to their apartments. Over all, October 8, 2011 was a great day for Carson Catalina Apartments as well as other people's whose lives were touched by the wonderful deeds.
