Iris Cohlan re-joined Eugene Burger Management Corporation (EBMC) in 2004 after being the owner/operator of Cochlan Associates property management company, located in Sacramento, California, for 25 years. Ms. Cochlan was employed by Barcelon Burger Management Corporation for several years prior to the company being renamed Eugene Burger Management Corporation.

Ms. Cochlan is a Senior Vice President of EBMC as well as the officer in charge of EBMC's regional office located in Sacramento. She has been a California Real Estate Broker for more than 30 years.

Ms. Cochlan obtained the Certified Property Manager® (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in 1975. She is a Past President of the Sacramento Valley Chapter, Past Member of IREM National Legislative and International Committees and Past Secretary of the San Francisco Chapter.

Ms. Cochlan is a Board member on the California Architects Board, where she chairs the Communications Committee, and is the Board's liaison to the Landscape Architects Technical Committee.  She is also a member of the Soroptimist International of Metropolitan Sacramento.

Ms. Cochlan is the Past Treasurer for the California Council for Affordable Housing, Past President/Board Member of Sacramento Area Emergency Housing, Past Member of the Housing Committee for the California Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, Past Chair of the Steering Committee for the Affordable Housing Management Association of Northern California/Nevada (AHMA-NCNH).

Ms. Cochlan has experience in all types of real estate management, including multifamily, commercial and condominiums, and has served as a California Superior Court Receiver for multifamily housing properties. Her depth of knowledge of the affordable industry is an important asset to EBMC and its affordable division.
